Root canal anatomy and morphology of permanent maxillary Lateral Incisors in an Iranian population

A meticulous knowledge of the root canal anatomy and morphology teeth is imperative to achieve successful also many other dental surgical treatments on them. The purpose this study was permanent maxillary Lateral incisors in Kerman. 100 extracted intact incisor were collected from different clinics anatomic morphologic characteristics selected samples such as number roots, apical curve direction length determined by macroscopic evaluation assessment each sample. After staining, decalcification clearing tooth existence location additional lateral canals carefully explored using magnifying tools. All had just one average for 22.5 mms study. curvature roots 67% distally, 5%; bucally, 2%; palatally 3%; mesially. 23% straight canals. Also, 29% that 89% cases located thirds, 11%; middle none coronal thirds. As a conclusion curved apex which are thorough challenges dentistry prevalent among south eastern Iranian population.
